Questions?

Q: Why kigurumi instead of another kind of cosplay?
A: I like the general aesthetic, and while it comes with its own challenges it means that some things that might be a problem for me (my voice, not wanting to do makeup) etc. are no longer problems as a result.
Q: What's that you're wearing that looks like a bodysuit?
A: It's called a hadatai, and kigs will usually wear them because it hides the difference between the mask and their regular skin. Zentai are also an option, but hadatai are much closer to looking like actual skin, in part because they're generally made to fit; if you look at some of my older pictures, it's easy to see the zentai I used back then is a bit baggy in places.
Q: How come you don't talk when you're in kig? Isn't it hard to communicate without that?
A: My voice is pretty different from the characters I play, or even similar ones, so if I speak it kind of ruins the magic. It does make communicating more difficult, but also forces me to think more about how I'm doing it, and I kind of like the challenge.
